My agent cheated on ARC-AGI-3 by reverse engineering games

My agent cheated! I thought my agent harness had solved ARC-AGI-3 this weekend at 4am. However, it turned out that it found some bytecode for 3 of the test games in an online repo and reverse engineered that. I had to add to my agent harness explicit instructions to not cheat! However, it did come up with an interesting solution approach which is a variation of an esoteric search algorithm - a stronger variant of dominance checking for optimal planning, where efficiency and pruning power are most crucial. Interesting times! Its difficult to stop coding....so much fun!

Great post by Karpathy. As a programmer, I feel like a whole new way of thinking was unveiled and I am not able to optimally use these new tools yet. Supabase is my go-to for fast AI prototypes: Auth + Postgres + Storage in minutes. For multi-tenant apps, use Row Level Security (RLS): add tenant_id, set it from JWT claims, and enforce policies so every query only sees its tenant.

Cursor 0.43 ships agents while GitHub Copilot loses steam

Cursor releases agents within the IDE with their 0.43 release. GitHub had a huge advantage and was moving very fast up until last year's Github Universe. Seems to have totally lost steam since then. - The recent release of PR summaries in Github.com is very poor quality. The summaries have long links to random files in the PR inserted in the response markdown, in addition to just being incomplete and inaccurate - Still no full-repo context in CoPilot - The idea behind VSCode apps was great. It was announced last year - still not released - "Generate unit tests for this PR" feature still not live Microsoft you started from pole position but are now getting lapped!
