Module 1
Plank Onboarding & Quality Mindset
Your first month is a deep immersion into how Plank operates, how our teams think about quality, and how startups actually ship product. You will not own a project yet: you will absorb, observe, and learn the standards that define a Plank AI Product Delivery & QA engineer.
- Structured onboarding into Plank's culture, values, operating principles, and quality-first mindset.

- Embed into a real customer squad alongside Plank engineers, designers, and a product lead.
- Work daily with a senior QA mentor who reviews your output and sharpens your judgment.
- Write your first real test cases and participate in testing, validation, and release checks.
- Practice risk analysis and break down requirements to spot ambiguity early.
- Get exposure to customer meetings and own small, well-scoped initiatives end-to-end.
Month 3–6
Growing as an AI Product Delivery & QA Professional
You stop being the new person on the team. You start to own testing activities, lead validations, and become a trusted voice on quality inside your squad.
- Take on more scope and autonomy, owning day-to-day testing for specific features and flows.
- Run exploratory sessions independently and lead feature validations end-to-end.
- Sharpen bug investigation and collaborate with engineers and PMs on acceptance criteria.
- Deliver quality reports that internal leaders and customers rely on, and sign off on releases.
- Build the confidence to become the go-to voice on product quality inside your squad.
Month 7–9
Advanced QA & Product Thinking
You move from executing quality work to shaping it. You start influencing product decisions, leading initiatives, and developing the strategic muscle that defines senior QA engineers.
- Lead quality initiatives that span entire features, releases, or product areas.
- Develop product thinking and learn to evaluate business impact and trade-offs.
- Join planning discussions early to identify risks before implementation.
- Influence product decisions with data, evidence, and customer empathy.
- Mentor newer participants and drive process improvements across your squad.
Month 10–12
Professional Growth & Career Transition
The final stretch is about operating like a full Plank AI Product Delivery & QA engineer. High autonomy, customer-facing ownership, leadership behaviors, and a clear evaluation for full-time conversion.
- Operate with high autonomy across multiple workstreams and lead customer-facing communication.
- Develop leadership behaviors and own end-to-end quality initiatives across squads or accounts.
- Engage in formal performance reviews and receive structured career coaching.
- Build a personal development plan with clear goals, growth areas, and milestones.
